Why families travel to us

Why South Florida Families Come to Pet Emergency Center.

South Florida has more than one option for emergency veterinary care, and we know that. Some are nationally branded specialty hospitals with high price tags. Some are general clinics that handle emergencies on the side. Pet Emergency Center is something different: a single, independently owned hospital in Fort Lauderdale, focused only on emergency and critical care, run by veterinarians who live in this community.

That model is why families across Broward, southern Palm Beach, and northern Miami-Dade make the drive to us. Care is handled by the same small team night after night. Pricing is explained before treatment begins. Decisions are not made by a corporate boardroom three states away.

A few practical notes

A Few Things Worth Knowing About the Drive.

If you are calling us from outside Broward, we will help you decide whether driving in is right for the situation or whether your pet is better served at a closer hospital. Honest triage is part of how we practice. We will not ask you to drive an hour if a clinic five minutes from you can handle the case.

If you do drive to us, plan for parking on site, free of charge. Walk-ins are welcome at any time during our open hours.

If your pet is in active distress, call us first. We can advise on whether to drive or call a closer hospital before you leave.
