A note before we get into the details

You Know Your Pet. But Sometimes, You Need a Second Opinion, Fast.

Every pet owner has been there. It's late, your regular vet is closed, and something feels off. Your dog is lethargic. Your cat hasn't eaten since this morning. Your bird is acting strange and you can't tell if it's serious.

Driving to an emergency room is expensive, stressful for your pet, and sometimes unnecessary. But ignoring the symptoms feels worse.

That's exactly why we built our telehealth service. For $75, you can video-chat with one of our emergency veterinarians from wherever you are in Florida. We'll look at your pet, ask the right questions, and help you decide what to do next, with honesty, not alarm.

Who it's for

Is Telehealth the Right Call for Your Situation?

Our $75 telehealth consultation was built for four specific scenarios. If you're in any of them, booking a call is almost always the right first step.

Scenario 01

You're Not Sure If It's an Emergency

Your pet is showing symptoms, but you can't tell how serious it is. Before you make the drive, and before you spend thousands on a full ER workup, talk to a veterinarian who can help you understand what you're actually seeing.

Scenario 02

You Physically Can't Transport Your Pet Right Now

Maybe you're at work. Maybe you don't have a car. Maybe your pet is too anxious or too large to move easily. Telehealth gives you a professional opinion without requiring you to get your pet into the car.

Scenario 03

You're Outside Our Fort Lauderdale Service Area

Our hospital serves Broward, Palm Beach, and Miami-Dade counties. But our telehealth service is available to every pet owner in the state of Florida, whether you're in Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, the Keys, or anywhere in between.

Scenario 04

It's After Hours and Your Regular Vet Is Closed

When your daytime vet won't reopen for another twelve hours, telehealth is often the fastest way to get professional guidance, without the cost or stress of driving to the nearest ER.

Scope & honest expectations

Here's What a Telehealth Consultation Covers, and What It Doesn't.

We believe in setting honest expectations upfront. A video consultation can answer a lot of questions, but it can't replace an in-person exam when one is needed. So here's exactly what you can expect.

What telehealth is great for
  • Triage. Is this actually an emergency? Do we need to bring them in tonight, or can this wait for the regular vet tomorrow?
  • Visual assessment. Looking at wounds, skin issues, behavior, posture, breathing patterns, eye problems.
  • Guidance. What to do in the next hour. What to watch for. When to escalate.
  • Peace of mind. Sometimes you just need a professional to say "yes, this looks okay" or "yes, you need to come in."
  • Medication questions. What's safe to give, what to avoid, what's available at home.
What telehealth can't do
  • Hands-on examinations (listening to heart and lungs, feeling for abdominal issues, checking temperature).
  • Laboratory diagnostics (blood work, X-rays, ultrasound).
  • Surgical procedures or hospitalization.
  • Prescribing certain controlled medications that require an in-person visit first, per Florida state law.

If your consultation reveals that your pet needs hands-on care, we'll tell you honestly, and we'll credit your $75 toward your visit if you come to us in Fort Lauderdale.

The core offer

One Fee. No Double-Charging.

Your $75 telehealth consultation is designed to help you make the right decision for your pet, not to add to your bill.

The $75 promise

If your telehealth consultation leads to an in-person visit at our Fort Lauderdale location, your $75 fee is credited toward that visit. You're never paying twice for the same pet.

So whether telehealth is all you need or it turns into a full emergency visit, the $75 is a starting point, never a penalty.

Book Your Telehealth Consultation
How it works

Three Simple Steps.

01

Book Online

Select a time that works for you, typically within minutes. Fill out a short form about your pet's symptoms so we can prepare. Pay your $75 fee.

02

Join the Video Call

At your scheduled time, you'll receive a secure video link. One of our emergency veterinarians will join you, ask questions, and take a close look at your pet.

03

Get a Clear Plan

You'll leave the consultation knowing exactly what to do next, whether that's watching your pet at home, heading to us in Fort Lauderdale, or connecting with your regular vet the next morning.

What to expect

Here's What Your Consultation Will Actually Look Like.

A calm orange tabby cat lying on a bed in a sunlit room with a phone nearby for a telehealth call

Consultations typically last between 15 and 30 minutes. You'll speak directly with a veterinarian (not a technician or an assistant), and you'll have their focused attention for the duration.

You'll leave the consultation with a written summary of what we discussed, a recommended next step, and, if needed, a direct path to our hospital with your fee already credited.

Before your call, we'll ask you to
  • Have your pet with you in a calm, well-lit space.
  • Prepare a list of current medications and any recent changes (diet, behavior, environment).
  • Be ready to show us the symptom or area of concern.
  • Write down your main questions so you don't forget them in the moment.
Privacy & platform: We use a secure, veterinary-approved telehealth platform that works on most smartphones, tablets, and computers. No app download required in most cases. Just a link. You'll always speak with a licensed Florida veterinarian; never a technician, never AI.
