Cost Should Not Be the Reason Your Pet Does Not Get Help.

Emergency veterinary care is rarely planned, and we know that. We work with South Florida families on transparent pricing, payment options, and financing solutions so cost does not stand between your pet and the care they need.

Here Is What You Can Count on From Us.

Many families come to Pet Emergency Center after leaving more expensive specialty hospitals. Some come to us after being told their pet's care would cost thousands they did not have. We are proud of those moments, because they reflect what we believe veterinary medicine should be.

Here is what every family who walks through our doors can count on:

  • We will explain pricing clearly before any major treatment begins.
  • You will know what each cost covers, in plain language.
  • We will not run tests or procedures that will not change your pet's outcome.
  • We will tell you the options, including the more affordable ones.
  • We will work with you on what is possible.
  • You will never be made to feel judged for asking about cost.
We Work with Families. That is not a marketing line. It is how we have practiced for over 40 years.
How we help

How We Help Families Afford Emergency Care.

Transparent Estimates Before We Proceed

Before we move forward with any major procedure, diagnostic workup, or treatment plan, we walk you through a written estimate. You will see what each component costs and what it covers. There are no hidden fees, no surprise charges after the fact, and no pressure to decide before you have the full picture.

Tiered Treatment Options When Possible

In many emergency situations, there is more than one path forward. A more comprehensive plan and a more conservative plan can both be appropriate, depending on your pet's condition and your situation. We explain the trade-offs honestly so you can make the decision that is right for your family.

Financing Through Trusted Partners

We work with four established veterinary financing partners — Cherry, All Pet Card, Scratchpay, and CareCredit — so qualified families can spread the cost of care over time. You can prequalify or apply in minutes, often without affecting your credit score. See our partners section below for the right fit.

Pet Insurance Coordination

If your pet is covered by pet insurance, we will provide detailed receipts and case documentation you can submit for reimbursement. Most pet insurance plans cover emergency care, though coverage varies by provider. We recommend reviewing your plan when you have a chance.

Open Communication About What Is Possible

If cost is going to be a barrier, tell us. We would much rather have an honest conversation about what is possible than have you walk away from care your pet needs. Our team has helped families work through tough situations many times. You will not be the first, and you will not be judged.

Financing partners

Four Ways to Spread Out the Cost of Care.

What it actually costs

What an Emergency Visit Typically Costs.

We get this question a lot, and the honest answer is: it depends. The cost of emergency care varies based on your pet's condition, what testing is needed, whether surgery or hospitalization is required, and the medications involved.

What we can tell you is this: a basic exam and consultation will be quoted up front before we proceed. Diagnostics, treatments, and procedures are added based on what your pet actually needs, with each cost itemized so you understand what you are paying for. Many of our visits are more affordable than nearby specialty emergency hospitals because we have intentionally built our practice that way.

If you would like a general sense of cost for a specific situation, call us. We can often give you a rough range over the phone before you come in.

An affordable first step

A $75 Telehealth Consultation as a First Step.

If you are weighing whether your pet's situation truly needs an emergency visit, our $75 telehealth consultation can be a useful and affordable first step. One of our veterinarians will assess your pet over video and help you decide what to do next. If you end up coming in for an in-person visit, your $75 fee is credited toward that visit, so you are not paying twice.
